Level of Award:
National NFQ Level 5 or European Framework of Qualifications (EQF)Level 4.
This module aims to equip the learner with the skills, knowledge and competence to work as an effective member of a team, operating independently while under general direction and within a range of diverse, team-oriented environments.
Learners will be required to complete a Pre-Assessment test in our centre to determine their academic level, unless they have QQI Level 4 Major Award or a previous Level 5 Component Award qualification.
Our training is delivered in a learner-centred, friendly and relaxed learning environment to ensure each learner is given every opportunity to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities in order to succeed in their caring role. Sessions are delivered using a variety of methodologies involving class tuition, group discussions, role plays, skills demonstrations and simulated situations.
Section 1: Theory – Teams and Teamwork; Stages of Team Development; Models, Roles and Responsibilities; Creative Problem-Solving and Decision-Making; Conflict Resolution.
Section 2: Application, Reflection and Evaluation – Working as a team and as an individual contributing to a team.
Portfolio of Work 60%, Skills Demonstrations 40%.
Learners who successfully complete this module may use this level 5 component certificate as credit towards the following QQI Major Award: Level 5 Community Health Services 5M4468 or Healthcare Support 5M4339.
