National Collective of Community Based Women’s Networks

The NCCWN is a collective of 17 women’s organisations based in various locations throughout the country. The work of three core staff of Women’s Community Project is funded through the NCCWN. Due to the introduction of the newly announced Social Incusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP), the funding for all 17 women’s projects is now under threat. The Local and Community Development Programme (LCDP) is to be replaced by the 2015 Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP).  This new programme is now out to e- tender.  However, not all the 17 Women’s Networks have been enabled to participate in local consortiums and as a result all of the NCCWN groups (including Women’s Community Projects) are now outside of the e-tendering process. For further information on this please read the The National Women cross party briefing here.
