Our commitment to the individual participating on the programme:
- Provide quality work placement within local community services of 19.5 hours per week to develop new skills and competencies.
- On the job training and mentoring to build confidence in abilities to carry your roles and responsibilities.
- Fully funded training to achieve QQI Major Award Certification.
- Mentoring and coaching to support a clear progression path.
Community Employment Training and Employment Programme
Working towards a career in Early Years, Business Administration, Community Care or General Learning.
The programme is designed to give participants practical work experience and training towards a QQI Major award over a three year period on an annual renewal basis approved by the Department of Social Protection.
Year 1
Weekly 19.5 hours work placement in a community service.
Achieve 4 QQI Component Awards.
Complete health & safety training requirements.
Year 2
Weekly 19.5 hours work placement in a community service.
Achieve remaining 4 QQI Component Awards to achieve
QQI Major Award.
Year 3
Weekly 19.5 hours work placement in a community service as a qualified team member.
Assistance with progression to
employment to include: Job Search, Curriculum Vitae preparation, Mock Interviews and External Work placement.
