“I came on to C.E scheme in 2019 working towards getting my level 5 major award in childcare, I was also working as C.E participant in Childcare facility. My only aim was to complete my level 5 major award, but I got so much more, not only did I complete my level 5 I also completed my level 6 major award in childcare, I done separate training module also in Supervision in Childcare and done both level 5 and 6 in SNA. These SNA modules give me the opportunity if I wanted to work within primary and secondary schools as an SNA. I was very lucky I had fantastic C.E supervisors over me always checking in and putting me forward for any training I would like to do. The result of me completing my C.E scheme is I am fully employed with a childcare facility and all the training and encouragement I received got me to where I am today. My advice for anyone who is in doubt about joining a C.E scheme is to go for it you will have amazing opportunities and supports, and it helps you get back out into the work force. I enjoyed every minute of my time on C.E and have gained a lot of qualifications because of it.”

“My experience with the CE programme has been excellent. After having my daughter, I spent a few years at home taking care of her, so returning to workforce was challenging.
My participation in CE gave me the opportunity to achieve qualifications while also gaining significant
professional experience. Moreover, it helped me to advance to a level 7 degree in early childhood education, and I have now begun working in my new position as an assistant manager in an early year setting.”

“Women’s Community Projects provided me with the opportunity to re-educate myself, as been a
homemaker for twenty years, I was very unsure of my self-worth or ability. They aide me in every way. They gave me confidence, reassurance and most importantly support throughout. I am now a fully qualified childcare practitioner and have obtained a full time Level 6 Room Leader job all down to the dedication of Mary Mc Knight and Louise Matthews who had faith in me and my ability. I will always be very thankful to Women’s Community Projects.”

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on CE. I have gained full-time employment in a job that I love, and I
have made many lifelong friends too! I have gained loads of new skills that will benefit me in all my future endeavours. I would like to thank Mary and Louise for all their help and guidance, they have been
brilliant!”
